The annual twenty20 cricket match between the Bath Rugby Legends XI and Bath Cricket Club sees current and former players of the professional rugby team don their whites in order to raise money for charity. Each game is themed to a designated charity, and so far we've gone Pink for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Spotty for Children in Need.
“North Parade played host to a charity 20/20 match where Bath Rugby swapped the oval ball for a pink cricket ball to play a match against a Bath Buccs XI. The match was the brainchild of Dave Nelson who worked tirelessly to make sure the event went without a hitch. The main aim of the game was to raise money for Cancer charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer and a crowd well over 400 attended the match played out in glorious sunshine.”
